I personally prefer Sao Paulo, but if you are looking for summer vacation I would say Maceio, because it's a beach, and Sao Paulo becomes disgusting on the summer haha

If you like beaches, do not go to Sao Paulo and Maceió has great beaches and the weather is always perfect. Sao Paulo is an industry city. Both of them are great
